The International Blaise Users Conference (IBUC) is an international event focused on the use of Blaise and associated software. The conference includes 3 days of presentations with emphasis on the implementation and application of Blaise in a computer assisted interviewing (CAI) environment. The conference is organised roughly each 18 months and it currently alternates between Europe and North America. The conference is the most visible activity of the International Blaise User Group (IBUG). More information, such as conference papers, related to IBUC conferences is available on their site.
The first IBUC was held in Voorburg, The Netherlands, in 1992. Following conferences were held in London, Helsinki, Paris, Lillehammer, Kinsale, Washington, Copenhagen, Gatineau, Papendal, Annapolis, Riga and Baltimore. The 14th IBUC conference took place on April 23 to 26, 2012 in London, United Kingdom. It has been organized and hosted by National Centre of Social Research.
