Installation and licensing
The installation has been redesigned. It can be used for client and server installation. The installation can be started by running blaise48.exe. This program first checks whether Blaise 4.8 can be installed. Blaise 4.8 can only be installed when the .NET 2.0 framework has been installed. When needed the program will prompt you for installing the .NET 2.0 framework.
You can skip installing the .NET 2.0 framework but then you will for instance not be able to use Delta (the datamodel documentation tool of Blaise).
Please note that:
- When you have a license key for Blaise 4.7 or earlier you will not be able to use that license key in Blaise 4.8. You will need to acquire a Blaise 4.8 license key from your distributor.
- You need a separate license for using Basil and for using a Blaise Data server / Blaise CATI server in combination with the basic Blaise tools like the Data Entry Program and Manipula. Please contact your distributor for information on this license.
- You are allowed to use the Blaise documentation program DELTA when you have a Blaise license. So you do not need a BCP licence. Also for Blaise Internet, you do not need a separate BCP licence.
