Cutting a lock file

Under the native Blaise database scheme (not using the services) I have a client who has a hanging lock file on occasion and the only way we have been able to get rid of it is to reboot the server. I believe there are some relatively new ways to cut the lock file but I can't find them in the Help. I did try the UNLOCK command in Manipula, but it did not work. Does anyone know how to cut a Blaise lock file? That is, delete it? Are there any system tools?

You can use unlocker (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/#download) which is free.

When you have a locked file, you can right click on it in the Windows Explorer, and select 'unlocker' from the context menu. Then you get an overview of all the processes that locks the file, and you can choose to unlock it, or to just kill those processes.

We used Unlocker. It works for an administrator. The website is said to be unsafe according to the network administrator. When I went to the website, my virus protection system said it was trying to put something unrequested on my computer.
